Schaffer Announces Funds Released for 20th Senate District

COLUMBUS - State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) today announced the approval of over $50 million for projects across the 20th Senate District by the state's Controlling Board.
"Funds like these are vital to ensuring public-private partnerships flourish and are able to improve the standard of living in our communities," Schaffer said.
Projects approved for funding today include:
- $50,000,000 in support of four Appalachian Community Grant Program Development Grants, including the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program, Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachian, and Utica Shale Academy of Ohio. For a detailed breakdown, click here.
- $7,664,179 in support of 22 Appalachian Community Grant Program technical assistance grants.
- $2,068,705 for HVAC and energy improvements at Ohio University Lancaster campus.
Funds were secured through the state capital appropriations legislation, passed as part of the state operating budget that was signed into law in June of 2021, during the 134th General Assembly. More information can be found on the Controlling Board website.
