Schaffer Announces Investment In Licking County

COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) announces an investment made by the Ohio Department of Development for a project in Licking County.

“I am proud to see the Department of Development recognize the potential of Licking County,” Schaffer said. “Investing in this county is paramount to ensuring Ohio remains competitive. This investment creates over thirty jobs and adds more than $4 million to the local economy.”

During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed and granted tax credits to twelve projects across Ohio, one of which is in the 20th Senate District. This project is:

• EdgeConneX expects to create 32 full-time positions, generating $4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location in New Albany. EdgeConneX is a global data center provider, operating highly proximate, high-powered, purpose-built solutions for customers at any scale. The proposed project includes the construction and operation of a multi-phased data center development. TCA approved a 50 percent, 10-year Data Center Tax Exemption for the project.
