Schaffer Announces Investments In Fairfield And Licking Counties

COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) announces investments made by the Ohio Department of Development in for projects Licking and Fairfield counties.

“I am proud to see the Department of Development recognize the potential of Central Ohio,” Schaffer said. “Investing in our region is key to ensuring Ohio remains competitive nationwide. These investments create over a hundred jobs and add more than a billion dollars to local economies.”

During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority reviewed and granted tax credits to five projects across Ohio, two of which are in the 20th Senate District. These projects are:

  • 1.23% tax credit for Axium Packaging, LLC, which is building a new facility in Jersey Township and New Albany, both in Licking County. The project creates 70 full-time-equivalent positions and more than $3.6 million in new annual payroll.
  • $2.1 billion and a 50%, 10-year Data Center Tax Exemption for Vantage Data Centers Management Company, LLC. Vantage expects to create 37 full time positions and $3.7 million in annual payroll as a result of the company's new Location in Millersport, Fairfield County.
