Schaffer Applauds Ohio Tax Authority Approval of Muskingum County Jobs Projects

COLUMBUS— State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) today applauded the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for approving two investment projects in Muskingum County, the AMG Vanadium LLC and United Candle Company LLC.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.477%, eight-year job creation tax credit for the AMG Vanadium LLC project. Located in Washington Township, this project is expected to create 102 full time positions, which will generate approximately $5.4 million in new annual payroll.

United Candle Company LLC was also approved for a 0.824%, six-year job creation tax credit. Located in the Village of Norwich, this project is expected to create 100 full time positions, which will generate approximately $4 million in new annual payroll.

“I am ecstatic that through this tax credit Muskingum County will see an addition of 200-plus good paying, full time jobs,” said Schaffer. “These companies will be great additions to the communities they will serve.

United Candle Company LLC is a national leader in candle manufacturing to various businesses across the country.
