COLUMBUS— State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) today honored the 2019 Pickerington High School Central Football team for winning the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) 2019 Division I State Championship.
Lead by Head Coach Jay Sharrett, Pickerington Central’s football team finished the season with a record of 14-1 with a statement win against Cincinnati Elder 21-14 for the title.
“I am incredibly proud to host Pickerington Central’s football team again here at the Statehouse following another remarkable season and state championship win,” said Schaffer. “This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication these players and coaches have put into this program and they have made their friends, family, and the Pickerington community proud”.
