COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) issued the following statement today regarding Colgate-Palmolive’s recent expansion project in Cambridge and receiving a Job Creation Tax Credit for the project:
“I am excited to see the economic growth in our local economy. This is an absolute win for Guernsey County and I applaud Colgate-Palmolive for investing their capital here. This is great news for local workers and the local economy. I want to thank the Ohio Development Services Agency, Mike Jacoby with OhioSE, JobsOhio and Norm Blanchard with the Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation for working with Colgate-Palmolive and getting them a Job-Creation Tax Credit as a result of the expansion of their Cambridge facility.”
Colgate-Palmolive will receive a 1.239 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the expansion project at its Cambridge facility with the creation of 24 full-time positions that will add $1.4 million to its already $23.9 million annual payroll.
