Schaffer Recognizes Muskingum University Esports Team
COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) yesterday presented a resolution to the Muskingum University Esports team for capturing two separate Eastern College Athletic Conferences (ECAC) National Championships. "I am so proud of the hard work of these students and their coaches, who not only competed with some of the largest schools in the nation, but came out victorious," Schaffer said. "Their success is a source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on them but also on their families, teammates, coaches, school, and community." The Fighting Muskies defeated schools such as Florida State University, Texas A&M - San Antonio, and Sacred Heart on their way to both of their championship victories. Kesten Taylor and Tre Boger secured Muskingum's first championship in the game Fortnite, leading the nation in eliminations. Doug Crawford won the second in the NFL football game Madden '22, kicking a field goal as time expired. To watch Senator Schaffer present the team with their resolution, click here.
