COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) announced Monday that the State Controlling Board has released $325,146 to the City of Lancaster for public roadwork improvements in support of the Magna Seating of America, Inc. project.

“This is a tremendous project that will provide major economic growth to the region,” said Schaffer. “I am proud that the State of Ohio has continued to commit resources to projects that will have a lasting impact on our communities.”

More specifically, the funding for this particular project will be used for the creation of a turn lane along Mill Park Drive. Funds will also be used for a north/south driveway box culvert (entrance to Magna Seating of America, Inc.) and reconstruction of roadway surfaces within the existing right-of-way on Anchor Avenue.

Funding for this project was secured in the State of Ohio transportation budget that was approved in April of 2019.
