The Success Sequence with Senator Al Cutrona
You've heard the old saying, "No good deed goes unpunished."
Senator Al Cutrona, a Republican from Youngstown knows exactly what that feels like.
His bill, SB 156, simply focuses on three concepts for building a significant chance of success in life.
- Graduate High School
- Work full time
- Get married before having children
The Department of Education and Workforce would develop standards and a model curriculum on those tested concepts that show if all three steps are followed, 97% of adults escape poverty. In fact, the study shows that 94% of Millenials who grew up in the bottom third of income distribution are not poor by the time they reach their mid-30's.
Yet, the legacy media had an elititst, entitled, and always offended meltdown accusing supporters and Senate Republicans of "blaming kids for poverty" and for trying to implement the "Handmaid's Tale Guidebook."
This is how touchy the media and the left is. Who would've thought that simply saying to kids, regardless of income, regardless of whether they are living in a single parent home, and regardless of whether they are from the country or the city, there is a way out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Yes! You can be successful!
Graduate. Get a full time job. Wait to have children until you get married.
Not everyone of course can or does. That's called life, but how dare anyone try to give any good guidance to our youth, unless the left says it's ok.
This week Senator Al Cutrona joins the President's Podcast and delivers some straight talk about the Success Sequence.
Plus, hear his thoughts about the General Assembly's ongoing effort to reform Ohio's property tax system.
