Cutrona Announces Bill for Charlie Kirk Memorial Day
State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) introduced Senate Bill 271 to designate October 14th, Charlie Kirk's birthday, as Charlie Kirk Memorial Day.
“In recognition of Charlie Kirk's tireless dedication to conservative values and his profound impact on the political discourse, I'm proud to introduce a bill making October 14th 'Charlie Kirk Memorial Day' in Ohio," said Senator Cutrona. “His leadership has inspired countless young individuals to take a stand for freedom. This day will serve as a reminder of the legacy he has built in shaping the future of our great nation.”
Charlie Kirk was a conservative political activist who was assassinated on September 10th while providing a forum for debate on Utah Valley University's campus. He co-founded Turning Point USA, a conservative non-profit, in 2012 to promote and educate students and young adults on conservative politics.
The bill is currently waiting to be assigned to a committee for hearings.
