Cutrona Announces Funds for Local County Detention Center

COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) announced the state's Controlling Board approved funds for the Martin P. Joyce Detention Center in Mahoning County. $64,506 will be used to replace the cameras to maintain security standards and the federal Prison Rape Eliminate Act (PREA) standards. These dollars were made possible because of HB 2, the state's capital budget, which Cutrona sponsored.

"Maintaining safety and security at these facilities is critical for the youth and staff," said Cutrona. "We must create environments at these centers for youth to grow and prosper."
