COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) joined Governor Mike DeWine, East Liverpool Mayor Robert Smith, and numerous other Columbiana County elected officials for the announcement to renovate the Thompson and Buckeye Online School Success (BOSS) Buildings in downtown East Liverpool.

"Together, with JobsOhio we will restore and renovate these buildings to spark economic development in the community," said Cutrona. "I appreciate all of those who have worked together to bring these projects to life. My hope is that once completed these investments will bring new opportunities, jobs, and beginning to the residents of East Liverpool and the entire region."

The Thompson Building is receiving $600,000 from the JobsOhio Vibrant Communities Program. Once the renovation is complete it will be a mixed-use property with housing, retail space, and the Buckeye Online School for Success. It will retain 30 jobs in East Liverpool and plans to add 25.

The BOSS Building is receiving $700,000 from the JobsOhio Vibrant Communities Program. True North, a West Virginia tech business will be the tenant and will house their 55 existing employees with an additional 25 jobs planned.

These projects will bring jobs back to Columbiana County and develop the local economy for generations.
