Cutrona Issues Statement on Tragic Death of Trooper Nicholas Cayton

State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) issued the following statement regarding the death of Canfield Post State Trooper Nicholas P. Cayton: 

“Trooper Nicholas Cayton's death in the line of duty is a tragedy not only for his family and his fellow troopers but the entire State Highway Patrol. His dedication to serving his state and community is a testimony to his character and bravery. I am praying for Trooper Cayton's family and the members of his department who served alongside him. His loss will be felt across the Valley, Eastern Ohio, and the entire state.”

In honor of Trooper Cayton, Governor DeWine has also ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Mahoning County, the Ohio Statehouse, the Vern Riffe Center, and the Rhodes State Office Tower today, and will remain until sunset on the day of his funeral.
