Senator Cutrona Joins Governor DeWine and Lt. Governor Tressel in Announcing Youngstown Innovation Hub
Youngstown—State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) proudly announces a major economic development breakthrough for Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley. Joined by Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, Senator Cutrona revealed plans for The Youngstown Innovation Hub.
The $26 million project will partner with multiple organizations to capitalize on training, preparing, and educating the workforce for the unique and emerging opportunities of the future.
"This is a huge win and will be transformational for Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley," said Senator Cutrona. "I was proud to partner with our business leaders and maintain a commitment to making this vision become reality."
The Innovation Hub is forecast to have a $161 million impact on the area, with the potential to bring more than 400 new defense, aerospace and manufacturing jobs to the area.
"These will be careers of the future for Youngstown," said Senator Cutrona. "I want to thank Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Tressel and the Director Mihalik, from the Department of Development for helping make this opportunity a reality here at home in Youngstown."
