Senator Cutrona Secures Over $8.5 Million for The Mahoning Valley and Eastern Ohio
State Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) voted for Senate Bill 450, Ohio's Capital Budget, securing more than $8.5 million for community projects in the 33rd Senate District.
The Ohio General Assembly typically passes a capital budget every two years that provides funding for school construction and community projects around the state.
“Providing support for local projects means making an investment in our neighbors," said Senator Cutrona. “I'm proud to return state resources back to everyday Ohioans in order to strengthen our communities. I know that each one of these projects will leave a lasting impact on The Valley and Eastern Ohio.”
Projects receiving funding in the 33rd Senate District are the following:

- Carroll County Fairgrounds Grandstands Rehab - $450,000
- Sandy Valley Trail Connection Project - $450,000
- Carroll County Dog Park - $63,000
- Columbiana CountySalem City Village Green Park (Lincoln Plaza) - $600,000
- Columbiana Project Playground - $300,000
- Lisbon Swimming Pool Improvements - $150,000
- Wurster Memorial Splashpad & Ampitheater Improvements - $115,000
- Columbiana County Fairgrounds Junior Fair Multi-Species Livestock Facility - $110,000
- Camp Braveheart Pavilion and Trails Project - $100,000
- East Palestine Pavilion Restoration Project - $100,000
- Salem Community Theatre Seating Replacement Project - $100,000
Mahoning County
- Youngstown State University - $3,500,000
- Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense - $750,000
- Nebo Park Miracle League Project - $350,000
- Coy Park Improvements - $250,000
- Redgate Farm Community Park Upgrades - $250,000
- Broadway Recovery Services Health Hub Renovation - $200,000
- Youngstown Area Jewish Federation Food Service - $200,000
- Stavich Trail Improvements - $150,000
- Canfield Township Community Park Upgrades - $149,079
