Ingram Announces $100M Investment in Hamilton County Projects
Today, state Senator Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati) commended the Ohio Senate’s passage of the state’s capital budget (House Bill 2), which includes $83.6 million for 25 projects within Ohio’s 9th Senate District and over $100 million for Hamilton County as a whole.
“It is important to not lose sight of why we are here, which is to help make Ohio a better place for all,” said Ingram. “It is especially critical that we get Ohioans' tax dollars back in their community to see that their hard work is not to waste. Although I wish we could fund every project in my district, I do appreciate all who participated in this capital budget process, ultimately proving why it is important to invest in local projects serving our community.”
Overall, the bill appropriates $3.5 billion in new capital funding, $717.8 million in One-Time Strategic Community Investments Fund (OTSCIF) appropriations, and $1.98 billion in re-appropriations for unspent capital dollars.
The bill now goes to the governor for his signature. Learn more about the projects supported by the capital budget here.
