Ingram Highlights National Voter Registration Day

Today, state Senator Catherine D. Ingram (D–Cincinnati) highlighted National Voter Registration Day, encouraging Ohioans to confirm or update their voter registration ahead of upcoming elections.

“Your voice matters, and your vote is one of the most important ways to make it heard,” said Ingram. "I encourage every Ohioan to make sure they’re registered and ready to participate in our elections.”

Important 2026 Election Dates

Military and Overseas Absentee Voting: Begins September 18

Deadline to Register to Vote: October 5 — boards of elections and the Ohio Secretary of State’s office are open until 9 p.m.

Early In-Person Voting: Begins October 6 and includes the two Saturdays and the Sunday before Election Day. View specific early voting hours

Absentee Voting by Mail: Begins October 6

Election Day: November 3 — polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Absentee Ballot Deadline: Non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by the voter’s board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
