Today, state Senator Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati) provided sponsor testimony alongside Senator Louis W. Blessing, III (R-Colerain Twp) for Senate Resolution 261, which urges Congress to establish a National Infrastructure Bank to finance urgently needed infrastructure projects across the country through public and private investment.

“This moment is critical. Infrastructure underpins economic growth, public safety, and daily life,” said Ingram. “Delayed action increases costs, worsens inequities, and limits future opportunity. A National Infrastructure Bank would help finance major projects, create jobs, strengthen domestic manufacturing, and expand opportunities for minority hiring, disadvantaged business enterprises, and small businesses.”

Senate Resolution 261 awaits further hearings in the Senate Financial Institutions, Insurance and Technology Committee.
