Ingram Recognizes Outstanding Youth
Today, state Senator Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati) recognized two youth constituents who were recipients of various awards during the 38th Annual Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Celebration.
"The young recipients of these awards remind us that the words and beliefs of Dr. King continue to have a positive impact on our youth. It shows us how important it is for them to know and understand the legacy of Dr. King as a source of inspiration for making change in this world," Ingram said.
Kylie Harmon of Pleasant Hill Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio was the contest winner in the primary division for the 2022 Statewide MLK Oratorical Contest. Ernie Davis III of Wyoming Middle School in Wyoming, Ohio was the recipient of the “Capturing the Vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award” for demonstrating an adherence to one or more of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s six principles of nonviolence.
