COLUMBUS - State Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland) is pleased to announce the Ohio Controlling Board has approved a request totaling $50,269,800.00 for campground improvements at seven state parks including Punderson State Park in Newbury, Ohio-Geauga County, located in the 18th District.

This project will provide full-service campsites (50-amp electrical service, potable water, and sanitary sewer hook-up), partial service sites, and electrical improvements. The work will include grading, drainage, and asphalt/concrete repair where needed.

"This is a major upgrade in the quality of life for many people in our district," said Cirino. "Hard working people need a chance to relax, get away from it all, and enjoy the scenic beauty of our great state, every now and then. These changes will enhance the experience significantly."

The other parts where improvements will be made are Harrison Lake State Parks in Fayette, Ohio-Fulton County, Buck Creek State Park in Springfield, Ohio-Clark County, Hueston Woods State Park in College Corner, Ohio-Preble County, Indian Lake State Park in Lakeview, Ohio-Logan County, Jesse Owens State Park in McConnelsville, Ohio-Morgan County, and Tar Hollow State Park in Laurelville, Ohio-Hocking, Vinton & Ross Counties.
