Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland) announced the introduction of Senate Bill 461, the Strengthening Ohio Civics Act, which creates consistency and clarity for Ohio's Civic Centers.  The legislation seeks to close loopholes that were used to limit the intended authority of center directors.

Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland) hosted a news conference today, in which he shared the proven success of Senate Bill 1.  The bill drew major opposition from the national organization representing professors with many suggesting the legislation would hurt students and universities in Ohio. But, as Sen. Cirino highlighted, the data shows otherwise. 

COLUMBUS-The Ohio Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 326, sponsored by Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland), which requires all high school students to complete one semester of computer science before graduating.

Senate Finance Chairman Cirino announced the passage of Ohio's Capital Budget in which he secured millions for community projects throughout the 18th Senate District.

Senator Cirino announced the approval of $824,788 in grants to cleanup two contaminated properties in Lake County for future use.

Senator Cirino issued a statement following last week's introduction of House Bill 835, otherwise known as the Medical Aid in Dying Act.

The Ohio Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 334, sponsored by Senator Cirino, which names a portion of Interstate 480 in Cuyahoga County as the "Officer Jacob J. Derbin Memorial Highway."

Senator Jerry Cirino received the American Legislative Exchange Council's "Legislator of the Year Award" at its "States and Nation Policy Summit" in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Ohio Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 35, legislation that recognizes supported decision-making as an alternative to guardianship for adults with a developmental disability.
