COLUMBUS - Ohio Magazine has included Kent among five of the greatest places to live, work, and visit in our state in its "2022-2023 list of "Best Hometowns" edition. The cities were judged in six categories — Community Spirit, Education, Entertainment, Health and Safety, Business Environment and Culture and Heritage.
"It's no secret that the 18th Senate District has some great places to call home," said State Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland.) He added. "I'm proud and thrilled the magazine has discovered the hidden gem that is Kent -- a charming city with a thriving and vibrant community, surrounded by such scenic beauty." Each of Ohio Magazine’s Best Hometowns will be featured in the November 2022 and July 2023 issues, showing readers unique places to visit and ways to enjoy each location. The other cities selected were Athens, Bellefontaine, Perrysburg, and Versailles.
