Senate Finance Chairman Cirino Secures Millions for District and Northeast Ohio Projects
COLUMBUS—Senate Finance Chairman Jerry Cirino (R-Kirtland) announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, Ohio's Capital Budget, in which he secured millions for community projects throughout the 18th Senate District.
"I'm proud to secure significant investments for the communities I serve," said Chairman Cirino. "This funding enhances the quality of life across the region and strengthens our neighborhoods. I'm proud to advance a fiscally responsible budget that supports sound community projects so that Ohio continues to be the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Among the projects Chairman Cirino achieved in the district is $1 million for the Seidman Cancer Center at UH TriPoint Medical. The Seidman Cancer Center is expanding their comprehensive oncology services, bringing world class cancer care to Lake, Geagua, and Ashtabula Counties. Chairman Cirino also secured $10,000,000 for East Cleveland for necessary road and infrastructure improvements to assist in the community's economic recovery.

- Cleveland Museum of Art Campus Renovation - $2,000,000
- Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Renovations - $2,000,000
- Cleveland Orchestra Severance Hall - $1,500,000
- Playhouse Square Theater Preservation - $1,000,000
- Brecksville Community Center Improvement - $758,000
- Cornerstone of Hope Emancipation Project - $450,000
- Cleveland Museum of Natural History - $280,000
- Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage Gallery Redevelopment and Security enhancements -$250,000
Lake County
- Chagrin River Pedestrian Bridge at Daniels Park - $500,000
- Lake Metroparks Park Improvements - $500,000
- Auburn Career Center Workforce Center - $200,000
The General Assembly typically passes a capital appropriations budget every two years, funding necessary improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, infrastructure, and other projects for municipal governments and non-profits.
