Senator Cirino Announces Funding for Community Projects
COLUMBUS—Senate Finance Chairman Jerry Cirino (R-Kirtland) announced the approval of $850,000 for projects across the 18th Senate District.
Receiving approval from the Ohio Controlling Board, the funding is awarded to the May Dugan Center in Cuyahoga County as well as the Fine Arts Association in Lake County.
"Each of these projects received my full support in the previous Capital Budget," said Senator Cirino. "I know that the funds for these projects will be used to enhance the quality of life for the people in their communities and I look forward to seeing their completion."
The May Dugan Center will receive $350,000 through the Department of Mental Health & Addiction to support the renovation and expansion of the Center's program space. The May Dugan Center helps individuals overcome socio-economic disadvantages by teaching clients the necessary skills to be self-sufficient through its many programs and services.
The Fine Arts Association in Lake County will receive $500,000 for renovations to the facility's Corning Auditorium. The space is used to educate thousands of students in dance, music, theater, and visual arts while also hosting musical and dramatic performances throughout the year.
