Senator Cirino Announces Funding for Disability Training Center

COLUMBUS—Senate Finance Chairman Jerry Cirino (R-Kirtland) announced the approval of $375,000 for the Two Foundation in Chagrin Falls.

Approved by the Ohio Office of Budget and Management Director, Kimberly Murnieks, the funding is awarded to Two Foundation for the purchase of a training facility.

"Having supported this project in the previous Capital Budget, I'm proud to see Two Foundation receive funding," said Senator Cirino. "The appropriation for this project will be used to continue their mission of supporting individuals with disabilities as well as their families."

The funding is to provide assistance to Two Foundation for the purchase of a facility in Chagrin Falls to be known as the Two Foundation Training Center. The entire facility space will be utilized for developmental disability services including real work training experiences and job readiness programs. 

Two Foundation is an Ohio non-profit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for people of all abilities to connect, work, grow, and thrive. Two Foundation works to provide support for individuals with disabilities and their families with the transition into the workforce. They provide job training, job placement, transportation, ongoing support and summer camps. Two Foundation provides real work training and skill assessment using fully integrated work settings, including a café, shops, kitchen, offices, and manufacturing space.
