Senator Cirino Recognizes State Football Champion's Historic Season
COLUMBUS— State Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland) today recognized Chardon High School’s unprecedented accomplishment, fielding the first football team in OHSAA history to record 16 wins without a loss.

“This is a remarkable achievement, especially when you consider Ohio’s long and rich football history. These student-athletes have set a new standard, and set the stage for even greater success in life,” said Cirino.

Chardon High earned the OHSAA Division III title on December 3rd by defeating the Hamilton Badin Rams 21-14 at the Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.

Success has become a habit for the Hilltoppers – this is the school’s third championship, and second in a row. The team is now on a 28-game winning streak, extending back to the 2020 season.
