McColley Congratulates Local Cheerleading Champions During Senate Session
COLUMBUS—State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) today presented a Senate resolution honoring the Liberty Center High School cheerleading team on winning the 2018 Division V Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) State Championship in the non-building category.
“It was my privilege to host the Lady Tigers on the Senate floor today to honor their third state title in Division V High School cheerleading," said McColley. "This accomplishment is a reflection of the team’s hard work and persistence, and I am proud to pay tribute to such a dedicated group of young ladies.” Coaches Shelley Davis and Liz Spangler accepted the award along with the Lady Tiger team members. The OASSA State Championship is a state competition that hosts High School cheerleading teams from across the state. The Ohio teams are judged on various aspects of a pre-prepared routine. This marks the 2nd year in a row the team has won the competition, and is the third time the team has achieved the state title.
