McColley Recognizes Local Division III Wrestling State Champion
COLUMBUS–State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) presented a Senate Resolution honoring Daniel Beemer, a senior at Ottawa-Glandorf High School, for his recent Division III State Wrestling Title in the 182-pound weight class.

“Daniel has been a standout athlete his entire high school wrestling career,” said McColley. “He has more than earned this championship win, and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to recognize him for his accomplishments. I have no doubt that he will continue to represent Northwest Ohio well as he pursues his wrestling career in college.”

Beemer finished his senior year with a perfect 41-0 record, and with 165 wins in his high school wrestling career, an Ottawa-Glandorf school record. He is the first Ottawa-Glandorf wrestler to win a state title, and only the second wrestler from Putnam County to accomplish the same feat. He intends to wrestle for Ashland University next school year.
