McColley Sworn in As Majority Whip of the Ohio Senate for 134th General Assembly

COLUMBUS—State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) was sworn in as Majority Whip of the Ohio Senate during opening day ceremonies at the Ohio Statehouse. The ceremony marked the beginning of the 134th General Assembly.

"I am honored to be elected by my colleagues to serve as the Majority Whip," McColley said. "I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Ohio Senate to continue to advance a conservative agenda for the state of Ohio."

As Majority Whip, Senator McColley will serve on the Senate Republican leadership team and will be responsible for monitoring legislation and securing votes for legislation on the Senate floor. Prior to joining the Senate, McColley served two terms in the Ohio House, representing the 81st District, which includes Putnam, Henry and Williams counties, as well as part of Fulton County. He also served as the Assistant Majority Whip of the Ohio House of Representatives during the 132nd General Assembly.

Senator McColley lives in Napoleon with his wife, Denise, and their three children.
