COLUMBUS—State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) issued the following statement regarding this week's USMCA announcement: "Over the last 25 years, the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has done great harm to American farmers, business owners, and workers. The USMCA is a unique opportunity for fair and meaningful reforms, which will give American businesses unprecedented access to Canadian and Mexican markets, and protect American jobs. It has been nearly a year that the democrats have held up this deal, and this week they have finally set politics aside, allowing Congress to vote on President Trump's plan to modernize our trade agreement. I am especially thrilled for the Ohio farmer, business owner and worker who will benefit from the USMCA and our economic partnerships with Mexico and Canada.”
