Brenner Celebrates Knox County Economic Development Project

COLUMBUS—State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) is pleased to see the approval of tax credits by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) for the Becker Mining America, Inc. development project in Knox County. 

"Attracting worldwide companies like Becker to Ohio shows that our policies are working," said Senator Brenner. "The economic opportunities this project brings to Central Ohio are significant. I'm proud to be an original supporter of JobsOhio and continue to celebrate their important work on similar projects across the state."

Becker Mining Systems is the only worldwide supplier of complete energy, automation, communication, transportation and infrastructure technology for the mining industry. The company's project in Knox County includes acquisition of an existing facility that will house intellectual property and manufacturing operations. The project creates 40 full-time-equivalent jobs with $2.4 million in annual payroll. The project came to the TCA's attention through JobsOhio and its regional partners.
