Brenner Honors Olentangy Liberty High School Track Champ

COLUMBUS—State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) presented a resolution today honoring Olentangy Liberty High School senior Jaxson Eckert for winning the 800 meter run in the 2023 Division I Track and Field State Championship. 

"It's an honor to recognize you for such a tremendous accomplishment, winning your race in a photo finish," said Brenner. "The effort you displayed on the track will take you far in your academic career and in life."

Eckert won the state title race by just .02 of a second. He had finished as runner-up in the regional round, but managed to take a one-second lead in the final then hold on to win by a razor-thin margin.
