Brenner Recognizes Kung Fu Medalist from Olentangy Liberty High School

COLUMBUS— State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) recognized the remarkable accomplishments of Michelle Huang, a junior at Olentangy Liberty High School, with a resolution citing her silver medal performance at the 2024 Pan American Kung Fu Championships, 

"Michelle’s outstanding ability and spirited drive, as well as her quickness and tenacity, have distinguished her as a superior student athlete who is worthy of special recognition," said Senator Brenner.

"She has represented our state at numerous national and international competitions with tremendous success, gaining the admiration and respect of all those who have witnessed her in action. Her accomplishments will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime."

Michelle is the youngest person ever named to the national adult Kung Fu team, and the first Ohioan selected for the national women’s Kung Fu team. She won the silver medal in the Daoshu event at the 2024 Pan American Kung Fu Championship in Santa Clara, California, last August.
