COLUMBUS—The Ohio Senate passed House Bill 81, which honors fallen military members, first responders, and elected officials. Included in this legislation is Senate Bill 97, sponsored by State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware).

Senate Bill 97 designates a stretch of State Route 36 between Scioto Township and Ostrander in Delaware County as the "Kris Jordan Memorial Highway."

"Kris was a loving father of three young children, a devoted son to his parents Ralph and Patricia, an avid Ohio State football fan, and a skilled trap shooter," said Brenner. "While we would work together and offer advice to one another during our shared years in elected government, Kris was also my friend of three decades."

Jordan was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and was first elected as a county commissioner at the age of 25. He went on to serve in both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate.
