COLUMBUS—Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) is proud to announce the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission approval of $38,715,310 from the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program for Mount Vernon City School District towards the construction and renovation of school buildings.

"Making sure students have a quality building to learn and grow within enhances the opportunity for students to achieve their full potential," said Senator Brenner. "I look forward to seeing this project's completion and the benefits it will bring to the students and community in Mount Vernon."

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission oversees the planning, development, and construction of public K-12, STEM, and Joint Vocational School district's school renovation and building projects. Senator Brenner serves as a non-voting member of the commission. The Classroom Facilities Assistance Program (CFAP) is based on the assessed property valuation per student. That property wealth factor determines the state and local share of the facilities project. The CFAP takes a comprehensive approach with local districts by addressing the entire facility needs of a district from kindergarten through 12th grade.
