COLUMBUS-The Ohio Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 423, sponsored by State Senator Susan Manchester (R-Waynesfield) to address healthcare staffing shortages. After being voted out of the Senate Health Committee, the bill was presented on the senate floor today. SB 423 establishes standards for independent healthcare professionals to utilize technology-based platforms to connect with nursing homes and other facilities facing staffing shortages.
Senator Manchester announced that millions of dollars have been secured for community projects throughout Ohio's 12th Senate District as part of the state's biennial Capital Budget to support critical improvements and investments across all seven counties in the district.
The Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 225, sponsored by Senator Manchester, expanding eligibility of the Safe at Home program to certain crime victims and members of their household.
